The next generation of tenor stars makes their DG debut! Charismatic "communicator" Benjamin Bernheim is one of the most sought-after lyric tenors of our time, performing major roles at such theaters as La Scala, Berlin State Opera, Paris Opera, Zurich Opera, Royal Opera House, Vienna State Opera, Salzburg Festival, and many more. He has performed major roles in theaters all over the world, including the Vienna State Opera and the Salzburg Festival. She continues to expand her repertoire by taking on a wider range of roles. Born in Paris, she is particularly fond of French works, but is also fluent in English and German. In her debut album, she performs mainly arias from French and Italian romantic operas, portraying a variety of characters with love, jealousy, and emotional conflicts. The Tears on My Cheeks from Rigoletto is Bernheim's best role aria, and she will make her debut in this role at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich in November 2019. He also has a penchant for unusual French music, and in an effort to make more people aware of its excellence, here he includes a piece from Banjaman Godard's "Dante," based on Dante's Divine Comedy.Performed by the Prague Philharmonia and recorded under the direction of Chief Conductor Emmanuel Villaume.
