In his previous work, he made fans weep with his wistful singing of numbers from classic films, but this time he sings Radames majestically in Verdi's masterpiece "Aida." Bocelli, who used to have a light voice, seems to have acquired a wider range of expression in her aged voice. The role of Aida is played by Christine Lewis, an American soprano who has recently been gaining strength, and who sang with Mehta in the 2015 production at La Scala with a magnificent voice.
