The Beach Boys, one of the leading bands of the West Coast music scene in the U.S., had many hit songs that incorporated the youth culture of the time. As the band grew musically, they had a profound influence on Japanese artists such as Tatsuro Yamashita, Eiichi Otaki, and Keisuke Kuwata. In 1980, the band and its main members held a "best of~" concert together, which has finally been released on CD!

Keepin' the Summer Alive" was released in March 1980, and was the last album that the original members worked on together. The Philadelphia concert on April 18 of the same year was recorded and broadcast for the popular American radio program "KING BISCUIT FLOWER HOUR," and this is the first CD release using the sound recordings from the broadcast. This live album is a complete recording of the concert, and consists of songs from the new album as well as representative songs from the band's previous albums.
Despite the mental problems caused by drugs, Brian Wilson, one of the main members of the band, gave a solid performance here, and this is definitely the best live album of The Beach Boys at this point in their career!
