The first disc features the best arias from Verdi and Puccini's famous operas, and the second disc features the best arias from other operas. The album was awarded the "Bambi Prize," Germany's oldest mediaeval prize for 2008 (concurrent winners include Britney Spears, Leona Lewis, Keanu Reeves, Meg Ryan, etc.).
