A new ballet for a new era born amidst the restrictions of the Corona disasterHamburg Ballet "Ghost Light "A new work by the Hamburg Ballet Company led by John Neumeier, "Ghost Light". This work was newly created by John Neumeier as a ballet for a new era in the Corona Disaster. Unfortunately, it was cancelled, but it was scheduled for a tour of Japan in March 2021. When activities resumed after the initial lockdown in Europe, John Neumeier created this new work for all of his dancers, following strict infection control measures. The piece represents "social distance" in the face of the Corona disaster, and was created by dividing the dancers into small groups and assembling their pieces together. It reflects the fear of experiencing a pandemic and the changing relationships, memories and emotions. The "ghost light" of the title refers to a single lamp that illuminates the stage when the performance is over. The title "Ghost Light" refers to the lamp that illuminates the stage at the end of a performance.In this recording, Schubert, played by French pianist David Frey, is used as music to inspire the dancers. King International
