The best of tropical music for the dance floor! This release features two great cumbias from the 1960s released by MAG, a Peruvian label founded in 1953. Pickling is a MAG legend who created a tropical arrangement of Benny del Solar, Lita Branda, and Melcochita's "Rumba Espanola," a song that was not yet a major hit in South America, with a magnificent orchestra. His signature Hammond organ sound is still present on this track, while the B-side features Los Demonios de Corcochay's "Cumbia en Dominante." Los Demonios de Corcochay was Peru's first Andean cumbia bands.The sound of "Cumbia en Dominante" is so unique that it spices up the cheezy textures of the organ. Both are masterpieces of tropical music for the dance floor!
