Daniel Fuchs is a Swiss pianist and organist born in Geneva in 1956. He specializes in music from the baroque to the classics, but is also highly regarded for his modern piano music by Schoenberg and Honegger. This complete cycle was carefully performed on a modern piano at a probably smaller venue in Valères-sous-Rance, west of Lake Neuchâtel. The scores are from the new 2009/2010 edition of the original Viennese edition. This is a sincere performance that Haydn lovers should definitely listen to. About the music. Hob.XVI:11 and Hob.XVI:15 (arrangement of Divertimento in C major, Hob.II:11) and Hob.XVI:17 (by Johann Gottlieb Schwanenberger), which was found to be a fake, are excluded.
