Description:

Georg Tintner (1917-1999) completed the complete Bruckner symphonies in his last years and is highly regarded worldwide as a Bruckner conductor. Tintner had been an admirer of Bruckner ever since he sang Bruckner's Mass and other works with the Vienna Boys' Choir under the direction of Bruckner's pupil Schalk. Tintner spent time in various countries around the world, including New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, England, and in his later years, Canada. This recording was made for a BBC broadcast during his stay in England, and features a powerful performance by the LSO. King International
