The 15th collection of the very rare Swedish sound source collector's classics! Kurt Atterberg (1887-1974) was born in Gothenburg, worked as an electrical engineer in the patent office while continuing his musical activities as a composer and conductor, and was involved in the establishment of the Swedish Copyright Society. Born in Åkarp, he studied with Alban Berg in Vienna, and worked as a conductor, composer, and producer for the Swedish Broadcasting Corporation from 1937, where his lyric cantata "God in Disguise" was broadcast during World War II. Lars-Erik Larsson (1908-1983) studied with Luthenberg. Ingvar Lidholm (1921-2017), who studied with Ruthenberg, acquired a taste for the European avant-garde music of the 1920s, and contributed to the development of postwar Swedish modernism as a member of Bloemendaal's "Monday Group.The fifteenth collection of Caprice" Collector's Classics includes three discs of recordings by three composers conducting their own works, including some of their best-known works. The three recordings include Atterberg's "Dollar Symphony" recorded in Berlin as a commercial album, the radio program "Dagens stunde (r Today's Time)" using the original music of Larsson's "Rural Suite," the incidental music for a broadcast of Shakespeare's "The Winter's Tale," and the "Solo Nausiker" from the last concert that Leadholm conducted with the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra. Lonely Nausiker" and "Greetings from the Old World" from the last concert he conducted.
