Pärt's "Mirror in the Mirror" New Arrangement!Wim van Hasselt is a world-renowned Belgian trumpet player who was a member of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra (RCO) from 2009 to 2014. Hasselt, who has also gained popularity in Japan for his Christmas concerts titled "Trumpets on Holy Night," has formed a duo in 2019 with Belgian percussionist Kuhn Pratink, timpani player for Anima Eterna and percussionist for the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, called ART' uur (Art' uur), their debut recording. A collection of newly commissioned & newly arranged works for trumpet (various trumpets including piccolo trumpet, flugelhorn, post horn), percussion & electronics, including a new arrangement of Arvo Pärt's famous "Mirror in the Mirror". With the golden brilliance cultivated in a prestigious Dutch orchestra, they create a new musical space combining classical music, traditional music, electro-underground, improvisation, and their vivid personalities.Except for Pärt, Ravel, and M.
