One of the leading British Melodic Rock bands, Giant Electric Pea, formed in 1982 with Gary Chandler (g/vo) at the core, released their 1992 album in the UK in an expanded 2-CD digipak edition with a bonus CD to celebrate their 25th anniversary. Disc 1 contains a newly remixed version of the original '92 album by Gary Chandler himself,Bonus Disc 2 includes 'The Beginning & The End' and 'This Changing Face' from the '93 show in Orlando, 'G13' and 'Wonderful World' acoustic versions, and the '01 compilation "MIDIUM Included on the '94 3-track CD Single 'Follow Me To Salzburg', 'All In One Day', 'View From Above' and 'This Changing Face (Acoustic ver.)' from the 'RARE' compilation (formerly (All songs from the 1988 debut album "JADIS" and 3 songs from the '89 Demo are not included on the expanded 2-CD set by Germany's Insideout Music).Gary Chandler's g-playing is the core of this album, which has been compared to Steve Hackett and CAMEL's Andrew Latimer, but has a flashier, more penetrating sound and sense of style than their later predecessors, as can be heard on 'Sleepwalk' and 'Wonderful World', The entire album is an exhilarating and solid melodic rock. The band's most famous work, with its English lyricism and melodic songs/sounds, is no wonder that it was regarded as the legitimate successor of the above two artists at the time of its release!
