Description:

Gong is led by the brilliant David Allen and his wife Jiri Smythe. Gong, led by the brilliant David Allen and his protégé Jiri Smythe, is active not only in the progressive rock scene, but also in the Canterbury music scene, where they have gained a worldwide following. The band signed with the upstart French label BYG and released the album "Camembert Electrique" in 1971, which marked a revolutionary growth in their sound and established a unique style. The band signed with Virgin Records, a progressive rock record label at the time, and released "Flying Teapot", and the success of the "Radio Gnome Invisible" trilogy, with its unique psychedelic worldview, catapulted the band to a more major scene. The success of the "Radio Gnome Invisible" trilogy, with its unique psychedelic worldview, propelled the band into a more major scene. After Gong's tour following the release of "You", David Allen and Jiri Smythe left the band in September 1975, feeling that they had reached their peak as a band... After that, Gong continued to work with a jazz-rock band led by drummer Pierre Moulin, but David Allen started to work with the Gong family in the 1990s. In 2009, he finally released the album "2032" with the members of the band of yesteryear. The band began touring with the album, which was the conclusion of the Radio Gnome Invisible trilogy. The concert in Oldenburg, Germany on November 10 of the same year was recorded and broadcast for a program on a German radio station. This album was recorded and broadcasted for a German TV program on November 10 of the same year, and is almost complete with the exception of one song from the second encore. The concert, featuring David Allen and Jiri Smythe with Steve Hillage and others, is a powerful performance with an active feel that makes it hard to believe that more than 30 years have passed. Imported domestic version with Japanese obi and bilingual liner notes in English. David Allen (g, vo) Steve Hillage (g, vo) Jiri Smythe (vo) Mickett Giraudi (kbds, vo) Chris Taylor (ds, vo) Dave Start (b, vo) Ian East (sax, fl)
