Sylvia Striplin, who was a vocalist for Roy Ayers' Eighty's Ladies after joining Aquarian Dream led by Norman Connors, released her only solo album in 1983 on "Uno Melodic," which Roy was leading at the time. The album includes "You Can't Turn Me Away," made famous by its cute intro to "Get Money" by Junior Mafia f/ Biggie, "Full Moon" by Armand Van Helden f/ Common, which was a hit with both house and hip-hop listeners, and "Give Me Your Love.
