Newtro" is a music project that reconstructs "classic songs from the past (Retro)" and creates new works for the "present and future (New)". Arranged by HALFBY, with guest vocals by Keiichi Sogabe! From Yoshitaka Minami's 70's urban pop masterpiece album "SOUTH OF THE BORDER", for which Ryuichi Sakamoto wrote all the songs, HALFBY has released a cover of the famous song "Night Flight", which has a brilliant Brazilian essence of samba and bossa nova, with Keiichi Sogabe as a guest vocalist. The original samba beat is used in the cover. The samba beat of the original song is converted to a looser Latin disco beat, and the arpeggio guitars sparkle in a floor manner that continues from 90's neoacoustic to Balearic to rah-rah band. The B-side features "Night Breaks Re-Work" by HALFBY himself, with a beat change to percussive disco breaks.
