Description:
Recital album by Juan Carlos Victor, winner of the "Tarrega International Guitar Competition" held in 2015. He was born in Salvador (Bahia), Brazil, and received his Bachelor's degree from the Federal University of Bahia in the class of Mario Ulioa, and in 2008 he won a scholarship from the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) to study at the Nuremberg Music University. He studied under Franz Harasch and later in Lucerne, Switzerland. Recorded in Spain in 2016, this first album showcases his diverse repertoire and skills, from Dowland, which he arranged for guitar himself, to a work by contemporary composer Filho, which Victor premiered.
