Active since the 1970s and already with a career spanning five decades, Youssou N'Dour is Senegal's proud superstar. He won a gold disc for his album containing the smash hit "7 Seconds" and a Grammy for his masterpiece "Egypt. In addition, Yussou, who received an honorary doctorate from the prestigious Yale University in 2011 and an honorary doctorate from Berklee Valencia in 2024 for sharing Senegal's musical heritage with the world, is proud to present his most ambitious work to date, Nbarara. The album was produced in El Prats de Rei, a small village in Catalonia, Spain, and was produced by Michael League, leader of the New York-based instrumental band Snarky Puppy. (C)RS
