US Release Series] A masterpiece featuring the title song, which became a No. 1 hit in the U.S. and a breakout hit in the U.S.! Always Sunshine in My Heart" was No.1 in the U.S. for five weeks in a row, and it was a big breakthrough for the band. Shout" was also re-released to capitalize on the momentum. Lulu's name became known not only in the U.S. but also all over the world. The music magazines "Teen Beat" and "Music Life" both devoted a full page to Lulu in their December 1967 issues as "Star Highlight" and "VIP of the Month," respectively. They treated her as a promising newcomer. Needless to say, Lulu's breakthrough came with the growing popularity of the movie of the same name, "Always Sunshine in My Heart," in which Lulu herself appeared, and the wonderful theme song that she sang. Lulu's U.S. album "Lulu Sings To Sir With Love" is titled "Lulu Sings To Sir With Love," which features such an "ironclad" song. In the UK, the album was released under the title "Love Loves To Love Lulu" while using the same photo on the jacket. In Japan, the album had the same original title and song order as the British version, but it was released much later, on August 10, 1968 (Toshiba Ongaku Kogyo), under the Japanese title "Always Sunshine In My Heart--Lulu" with a unique photo on the jacket.Nine months had already passed since the Japanese release of the single "Always Sunshine in My Heart" (November 5, 1967), but it was still a long time after the hit, as it not only reached the number 42 position in the Oricon magazine, which had just been published at the time, but was also ranked for 32 weeks. The album was not only the highest-ranked album of the year at No. 42, but also remained in the top 32 for 32 weeks.
