This is a collection of live recordings of concerts given by Irina Meduyeva, a talented Russian pianist based in Japan, in Kyoto from 2007 to 2012. This five-disc set includes four CDs of Austro-German repertoire, mainly Schubert and Beethoven, but also Schumann and Brahms, and one CD of Debussy and Mussorgsky, which she performed at a concert in 2012. Most of the repertoire has already been recorded, but the enthusiasm and exuberance of the live performances are different from those of studio or session recordings.
