The Blu-ray release also includes the non-terrorist opening and closing scenes, making it a must-have for fans of the film. The Blu-ray has been remastered using HD negative scans to achieve unprecedented image quality! The never-before-seen pilot version of "The Prince of the Stars" and a slideshow of the rare planning documents and art settings from the time are included as video extras! The opening of the first broadcast (courtesy of KIKKOMAN) is included. Winner of the 3rd Bunka-Cho (Agency for Cultural Affairs) Award for Excellence in Television Films for Children in 1978! It was recommended by the Central Council for Child Welfare at the time of broadcast. This was the voice acting debut of Taiki Matsuno (representative works: "Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo", etc.) and other popular voice actors!
