French violinist Eric Laclut plays a collection of sonatas by Franck and Fauré! Includes Japanese commentary! French violinist Eric Lacroute plays Franck and Fauré sonatas for violin. Eric Lacroute is a French violinist born in 1976. He holds an advanced degree from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris and has been a soloist with the Orchestre National de l'Opera de Paris (Orchestre de la Bastille) since 2003. Perhaps because he plays at the opera house, Laclut's violin is warm and sings well, and retains a strong French modern tradition. Jean-Baptiste von Leput's piano has a rich French flavor and a positive attitude that reminds us that these sonatas were very innovative in terms of accompaniment at the time of their composition. This is an outstanding CD of these three pieces. The Japanese translation of the commentary is available.
