The "Bose Size of the Sky" consists of previously unreleased studio recordings. 13 songs were recorded in the studio between January 1968 and February 1970, and 10 of the 13 songs that will be included on this album are previously unreleased. Many of the songs were recorded with the trio of Jimi Hendrix (G/Vo), Billy Cox (B), and Buddy Miles (Ds), who would become known as the Band of Gypsies, while others were recorded with Mitch Mitchell, Noel Redding, Stephen Stills, Johnny Winter, Duane Hitchings (Buddy Miles Express/Piano), Dallas Taylor (CSN&Y/Ds), Ronnie Youngblood (Curtis Knight & The Squires/Vo&Sax) and other guests. Produced by Jayne Hendrix, John McDermott, and Eddie Kramer, who have worked on Jimi Hendrix's works released since 1996. Commentary, lyrics, and bilingual translation included.
