The long-awaited drama adaptation of Kirino Natsuo's "Tsubame ha Kurutsu wa Nai Konnnai" about reproductive medicine and surrogate mothers, which won both the Yoshikawa Eiji Literary Award and the Mainichi Art Award. The music is by Evan Call, who has garnered attention for his work on the historical drama "Kamakura-dono no 13inin" Riki (Ishibashi Shizuka), a temporary worker, is troubled. A colleague at work invites her to donate her eggs in order to make money. Riki is interviewed at the Japanese branch of the American reproductive medicine agency "Plante". What he is offered is not "egg donation" but "surrogacy. Motoi Kusoake (Goro Inagaki), a former ballet dancer, and his wife, Yuko (Yuki Uchida), are looking for a "surrogate mother" who will bear their child in exchange for a large reward. This film is a dramatization of Kirino Natsuo's much talked-about work, which won both the Yoshikawa Eiji Literary Award and the Mainichi Art Award. Script by Ikue Nagata of "Ranman," a serial TV novel, and music by Evan Call of the historical drama "Kamakura-dono no 13inin" (The 13 Lords of Kamakura).
