Recently, frontman Mark McGrath's work as a host and TV personality on American TV has been the talk of the town, and now they are releasing their first new studio album in about 10 years. The lead single from the album will be "Make It Easy. This song, which starts with a guitar riff reminiscent of "Fly," is Sugar Ray's signature easy-going, easy-going, and always-summer number, and is sure to be a summer anthem in 2019. LITTLE YACHTY".The impetus for this was the popular TV show "Celebrity Big Brother," which Mark McGrath was on in 2018. The show was to produce an introductory VTR for Mark on that show, and the show's producers asked if they could film him working in the studio. So he went into the studio with Sugar Ray guitarist Rodney Shepherd, drummer Dean Butterworth, and producer Michael Lloyd and started jamming. The jam was a lot of fun, and the new song "Higher Tree" was born. I almost forgot we were recording for 'Big Brother,'" Mark told Billboard.com about the recording session. Just a few days after recording "Celebrity Big Brother," Mark told Rodney Sheppard that they had been approached about a record deal. They continued into the studio with producer Michael Lloyd and began work on the album. LITTLE YACHTY" was completed with veteran producer Michael Lloyd, who had worked with everyone from the Monkees to Frank Sinatra.They wanted to create a "modern 'yacht rock' album," they told Billboard.com. The fact that it's titled Little Yacht Rock is no coincidence. We decided to make an album that our fans would want to hear. As Mark says, "It's a fun album from start to finish." This album is filled with easygoing and extreme sounds perfect for the summer season! Sugar Ray has also announced that they will tour the U.S. this summer with their new album. The season of the everlasting summer leader has just begun!
