Pearl Jam's first album, Ten, was released on August 27, 1991, and sold slowly, finally reaching the top 10 on the Billboard 200 album chart almost a year later in May 1992, eventually reaching #2. By February 1993, Ten's sales in the U.S. were comparable to those of Nirvana's Nevermind. This is the band's first live performance at the New York Marquee Room on July 13, 1991.
