Juliette is a chanson singer whom Tharaud praises as "the ideal Satie singer," and she sings with a great atmosphere reminiscent of an old Parisian café. Isabelle Faust's versatile performance also makes this collection of Satie's works a delight to listen to. The illustration on the cover is a portrait of Satie by Jean-Cocteau, and the order of the songs differs from the CD (HMC 902017).
