Stefan Hauser of 2CELLOS, who has captivated the world with his superb playing on two cellos, has completed a solo album under his solo name = "Hauser/HAUSER". It was recorded in June 2019 at the famous Henry Wood Hall with the London Symphony Orchestra. The album features a selection of beautiful melodies from famous ballet music, opera arias, piano pieces, and other classical favorites. Hauser had been active as an up-and-coming young performer before his debut as 2CELLOS, when he met Luka Sulich by chance in London in 2010 and posted a video of the two cellos performing "Smooth Criminal" in January 2011, which led to his debut as 2CELLOS. The DVD includes a video of the performance he has been presenting regularly since April of the Corona Disaster under the title "Alone Together". Filmed in the Roman ruins of Arena Pula, Krka National Park, and the historic city of Dubrovnik, the DVD captures the full appeal of Hauser's relaxed performances in the scenic nature of his native country. In addition to famous classical pieces, the repertoire includes popular film and television theme songs, such as the globally popular "Game of Thrones" drama. Born in Croatia on June 15, 1986, Hauser began studying the cello at the age of eight in London, and later studied at the Royal Northern College of Music. One of the last disciples of the great master Rostropovich, Hauser is a 21-time competition winner, and has performed in front of Prince Charles as one of the hottest young and talented cellists.
