Who falls, who stays?
Bob Dylan's first tour in eight years took place between 3 January and 14 February 1974, playing 40 shows in 21 North American cities. The tour, which set records for attendance and box office receipts at the time, was later released as Dylan's first live album, The Great Recovery, which was a huge hit, reaching number three in the US. This new release is a compilation of all existing live recordings from that tour.
The box set contains 431 tracks on 27 CDs, including 417 previously unreleased live tracks (133 newly mixed from 16-track tapes and all existing soundboard recordings). The box set does not include the Band's solo performance on the original 1974 album The Great Resurrection, but only Bob Dylan's performance, and the domestic import version is a limited edition with a Japanese booklet with commentary, lyrics and bilingual translation.
This is a rare record of Bob Dylan, who was 32 years old at the time, giving a white-hot performance backed by his allies, The Band, in 1974.
