A masterpiece recording with a full complement of solo singers is back! Five masterpieces by Musica Antica Prague, which had been out of print for a long time, are now available as a set! The ensemble was founded by Pavel Krikar in 1982. Krikar is a multi-talented musician who played trumpet, piano, organ, etc. He was a bandleader of the Original Prague Symphony Orchestra, famous for its performances of American jazz and dance music in the 1920s.Led by Krikar, the group focuses on reviving and recording Baroque music of the early 17th and 18th centuries, searching for instruments of the day and restoring them as much as possible in order to bring back the sounds of the period in which they were composed. Of course, the music is performed using the tuning methods of the time. The members of the ensemble include such famous singers as Magdalena Kozenaer, and their high standard of performance is also a major attraction. Their achievements are immeasurable, and the music of the early Italian Baroque, previously unknown, has become so popular that it is now frequently performed in churches. Musica Antica Prague's performances still captivate audiences today! (King International)
