Francesco Tristano, a Luxembourg-born pianist, is a genre-crossing pianist and the first transfer to Sony Classical. He is a genre-defying pianist who has been playing mainly baroque/classical music represented by Bach and contemporary music of the 20th century, but also brilliantly handles electronic dance music such as techno and house music. His first album is a collection of his own piano works. The rhythm-oriented aspects that have been prominent in his previous works have been suppressed in favor of tranquil, melodic pieces.
