Francesco Grillo is an Italian pianist and composer. Raised in a musically inclined family, Grillo began playing the piano at the age of 8 and started composing at the age of 11. He was influenced by Russian composers such as Rachmaninoff and Prokofiev, as well as French composers such as Ravel, and graduated from the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan. He also liked to listen to and play Bill Evans and Bud Powell. His albums are unique in that, unlike previous music, they interweave contemporary music (jazz improvisation) with a musician who has fully studied and made the classical tradition his own. This innovative lyricism and variety of styles has a coolness that is common to popular music.How could they come up with such innovative and beautiful music? This is an album that is simply impressive, not only for its performance technique, but also for its creativity. Sony Music
