Formed in 2010 by New York-based Brian Oblivion and Madeleine Faurlin, the male-female duo Cultz released their debut self-titled album "Cultz" in June 2011, a collection of sweet and soulful songs with an enchanting atmosphere. The self-titled album "Kaltz", released in June 2011, is a lo-fi bedroom pop album with sweet and enchanting Madeline's vocals, 50's pop, 60's psychedelic, and "In The Name Of" label, which is run by the popular and fashionable celebrity Lily Allen, is the first artist to be signed to the label. It is clear that this 2nd album is a confident work that has evolved even more edgy, pop, and rock, while confidently utilizing the image people have of "Kurtz.Madeline's vocals, while still sweet, seem to be freely flowing with emotion, and the sound, while becoming louder, has acquired a more humanistic strength.
