While September 2013's "Rewind the Film" was an all-acoustic album, "Futurology" is a completely electric album. As the title suggests, "Rewind~" is about looking back on the "past" on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of his debut, including memories of his own life, nostalgic childhood days, the past and present of his hometown in Wales, and his favorite city in another country, "Tokyo. At the same time, the album is a sentimental work that reveals the false feelings of a "man in his 40s," but in this album, the band has completely shifted their focus to the "future. The sound of the album has a revved-up, spacy atmosphere with effective use of synthesizers. James says, "This one is more spiky and loud. There may be some Krautrock influence.It's different from "Holy Bible," but there are some similarities in terms of intent and intimidation. Lyrically, there's also a kind of longing for Europe. It's about the European landscape, the disease of Europe, the disease that we Brits have that we just can't be a part of."
