This is the seventh studio album by Gregg Allman, vocalist and keyboardist of the Allman Brothers Band, one of the leading Southern rock bands, in six years since his 2011 work "Low Country Blues". Unfortunately, he passed away on May 27, 2017 (at the age of 69), and this album is his last work. While battling illness, the band spent 4-5 hours each day for about 2 weeks at Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals, recording this album. It was produced by Don Was. In addition to M-1, a moving new song that depicts Greg's life itself, this last work consists of covers of songs by friends who have gone through the same era, such as BOB DYLAN, JACKSON BROWNE, JERRY GARCIA, and WILLIE DIXON, and is a tribute to Greg's devoted fans and admirers. A present full of farewell greetings to his fans and admirers. Allman's desire for a final album after years of illness was realized by his close friend and manager Michael Lehman and Blue Note's current president Don Was: "As his producer, I was dedicated to crystallizing Greg's vision for the record and ensuring that it was reflected on tape. Despite ongoing health issues, the Gregg Allman Band chose to pick up where the Allman Brothers Band left off in 2015, spending nearly two years on tour highlights including the 2017 Allman-curated Laid Back Festival . in 2015. a 2CD/DVD set, backed by MACON GA, the enduring Allman and the floor-shaking live power of an eight-piece band, their leader decided to see what the group could do within the confines of the studio. Gregg was very excited to be in the studio," says Lehman. 'He was especially excited to record this studio album with his solo band - he was very proud of them and loved the sound they made together. Gregg felt close to all of them. The Gregg Allman Band was like a family or a well-oiled machine that always knew what the other band members were thinking and doing." Greg and Lehman with Was listened to and selected much of the material, with Greg's desire to reflect his moods and make the songs realistic on both his personal and professional level, and later, memorable to his fans.FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, the birthplace of the Allman Brothers Band, was Greg's dream to return there and where Duane's presence is still felt.
