The shimmering melodies of this impressive work bring healing to the listener. The 12 songs that form the work trace the passage of time from when he was a teenager to the present. Taken from a very personal point of view, the album is a world of refuge into which we can all enter. It is a world that we can all enter, a haven of delicate nuances reminiscent of the lush string arrangements of artists such as Nick Drake, Bert Jansch, Bon Iver, Bill Callahan, and Robert Kirby, where sounds float in and out like a doze, like a mist. One of the most prolific and versatile musicians based in the Northwest of England, Syd's stunning and electrifying live performances have taken him to stages all over the country, including Glastonbury, toured the UK and Europe, and performed in "Later... with Jools Holland, and has received rave reviews from such luminaries as Atticus Ross (Nine Inch Nails), Stephen Mallinder (Cabaret Voltaire), and Confidence Man.
