Devotion" was named Album of the Year by Pitchfork, Clash, Loud and Quiet, Resident Advisor, The Guardian, and many others, and now she's released her latest album, Colourgrade, on Domino This album is a collection of songs that reflect her experience of childbirth. The theme of this album is recovery, gratitude, and new beginnings, which was greatly influenced by her experience of childbirth. This work expresses a new side of her as a singer, as she discovers for the first time a form of love shared between a mother and her child, in addition to her work as an artist.The first track, "Tectonic," was co-written with up-and-coming South London artist Coby Say. The song evokes a variety of musical influences, including bass music and R&B, but also has a melancholy atmosphere that could be described as Tirzah's auteuristic style. The album also includes 10 other tracks, including "Send Me," a minimal, alternative track that is followed by a distorted electric guitar sound that resonates with intensity.
