Animal Collective, one of the leading US indie bands, releases their first new album in three and a half years! A masterpiece that marks a major milestone in their career, incorporating many elements that they normally wouldn't dare to touch, both compositionally and sonically! Animal Collective, an amorphous music group that represents the current US scene and has gained a huge following among music fans around the world, has released its 11th new album in three and a half years! Animal Collective has been breaking new ground with each new album as they explore new forms of psychedelia. The group's free and energetic style of activity allows for a different member for each album, and this album features three members: Dave (Avie Thea), Noah (Panda Bear), and Brian (The Geologist). In making this album, they said, "We wanted a more primitive sound, like when we first played together in New York," and "I thought what we did on 'Sentient Hertz' (our last album released in 2012) was a little complicated, so this time we dropped the excess. So this time, we wanted to simplify it by cutting out unnecessary things, like techno or punk.As Dave explains, "Then we decided to apply an animal-collective filter," and while still retaining their signature high level of experimentation and deep, rich textures, every song is as sharp and catchy as a chart hit, and yet it is also the most minimal and ambitious work they have ever done. And yet, it is also a minimalist and ambitious work that stands out among their other works. The three began exchanging demos at the beginning of 2015, and in the spring the three gathered in Asheville to further explore the songs. Recording was practiced at East West Studios in Hollywood, famous for being the home of The Beach Boys and Marvin Gaye sessions. Based on the concept Dave mentioned earlier, "A short pop song. The sound of the album is "short pop songs, nothing is wasted, just put the material in and let it out," he says. The collaborators on this album are clearly different from his previous works, including Colin Stetson, a multi-reed player known for his work with Arcane Fire, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Bon Evere, Tom Waits, and others, as well as the Velvet Underground's "The Velvet Underground" and "The Velvet Underground's" "The Velvet Underground", The album also features guest appearances by John Cale, a founding member of the Velvet Underground.
