Beth Gibbons, known as the vocalist of Portishead, the pioneer of the Bristol sound that greatly influenced the music scene in the 90s and 00s, has released her first solo album "Lives Outgrown" on the Domino label. The album, which took 10 years to complete, was co-produced by Beth and James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, Depeche Mode, The Last Dinner Party, etc.), and Talk Talk drummer Lee Harris also participated in the production. Lives Outgrown, the most personal work of her career, was the result of, in Beth's words, "a lot of goodbyes. It was a goodbye to family, a goodbye to friends, and a goodbye to my past. The future ahead was different from the view I had previously envisioned. And the past suddenly and sharply questions me. The ten songs included here were born because she is now in the middle of her life. Still, Beth has a new purpose after a decade of change and rebirth. In addition to her three releases as Portishead, Beth Gibbons has collaborated with Rustin Mann on "Out Of Season" and with contemporary composer Penderecki on "Henryk Gorecki: Symphony No. 3 (Symphony of Sorrowful Songs). In addition to "Out Of Season" and "Henryk Gorecki: Symphony No. 3 (Symphony of Sorrowful Songs)" with contemporary composer Penderecki, he recently participated in Kendrick Lamar's album "Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers". The LP will be released in two forms: a standard edition (black vinyl) and a 180g weight deluxe edition, as well as a first pressing limited edition deluxe edition with Japanese obi.
