Debut album from London-based four-piece newcomers The Vaxines! Frontman Justin Young is a solo artist who once worked under the name JAY JAY PISTOLET in the London folk scene, where Laura Marling, Mumford & Sons, and others came from, and lived in the same flat with the members of Mumford & Sons. He lived in the same flat as the members of Mumford & Sons. Around the end of 2009, he decided to become more professional and creative. Through mutual friends, he first met guitarists Freddie Cowan (bassist of The Horrors) and Tom "Tomesy Firth" Cowan. Eventually, Pete Robertson on drums and an Icelandic bassist who had previously been in a band with Bjork's son joined the band, and the current lineup was formed. The band has also been featured on the long-running UK music TV show "Later With Jools Holland" (BBC) as the first band to appear on TV before releasing anything, including singles. The band was selected as the third best band in the "Sound of 2011" by the prestigious BBC. SMJ
