Two Mozart chamber music albums by key members of the Staatskapelle Dresden are collected on one disc. The performances are lustrous, lush gems! The "Horn Quintet" is re-recorded. Excellent recording. Mastered only in analog domain and converted directly to DSD! The latest reissue project of ETERNA's original analog tapes in Japan, the 28th SACD hybridization of two LP-era masterpieces of blissful Mozart performances by members of the prestigious Staatskapelle Dresden, captured in excellent analog stereo recordings at Luke Church, Dresden, on a single SACD The two LP-era masterpieces are included in one SACD hybrid disc. The sound source for the "Horn Quintet" is identical to 0301780BC released in 2021. This time, the same piece previously released on the SKD related Mozart chamber music album has been re-recorded. It has also been newly digitized and mastered. The Staatskapelle Dresden's chamber music activities date back to the foundation of the Tönkünstlerverein (TV) in June 1854.The idea of creating a permanent foundation for chamber music arose from a concert of chamber music held in the salon of music critic Richard Paul. The activities, which began with the three main objectives of "learning unknown chamber works," "deepening learning by playing together," and "participation without the expectation of material gain," were conducted under the aegis of Dresden music patrons Clara Schumann, Franz Liszt, Hans von Bülow, and Joseph Joachim, as well as the Dresden Chamber Orchestra, In the 20th century, the TV overcame the difficulties of both World Wars to survive, and in 2004 it celebrated its 150th anniversary with great fanfare, and continues to do so today.
