Mikhail Pochekin records Menkon and Bruch! Bruch plays No. 2, which has been gaining recognition in recent years! The Russian violinist Mikhail Pochekin has recorded Mendelssohn and Bruch! Pochekin won the 2009 Jascha Heifetz International Violin Competition in Vilnius, Lithuania. Since then, he has performed with the Russian National Orchestra and other renowned orchestras. Bruch is not the famous No. 1, but No. 2! Composed in 1877, No. 2 was overshadowed by No. 1. It was first performed by Sarasate, known for his "Zigoinelwaizen," with Bruch conducting, and was dedicated to Sarasate. In recent years, the piece has been reappraised in Japan as more and more opportunities have arisen for its performance. The melody is sad but graceful and, like No. 1, truly charming. Pochekin's sweet voice is perfectly suited to this work, and this is a welcome new recording. The Mendelssohn, on the other hand, is Pochekin's 18th work.You will hear a clean and good performance!
