Description:
The Schwetzingen Music Festival has been held at the Rococo Theater in Schwetzingen Castle since 1952, and this recording from 1995 features Dieskau conducting. It is interesting to note that the works featured are Hindemith's austere works. The Devil" is a deposition of chamber music, and the conductor plays the role of moving the scene forward, letting the players play freely rather than controlling the overall sound. It is Hindemith's neoclassical music, with fine, crisp passages rushing through one after another. The "Chamber Music" is also light music with a similar composition. In "Elodiade," the strings sing slowly, and you can feel the Dieskau-style cantabile. It is accompanied by a rather intense theatrical reading, and the melodies of the instruments stand out because of the pitchless voices. King International
