Second Mozart concerto recording by German orthodox violinist F.P. Zimmermann! This second recording includes No. 2, No. 5 "Turkish Style" and the Concerto Symphony with Tamusti! The German orthodox violinist Frank Peter Zimmermann is recording his second complete set of Mozart violin concertos for the Hensler label in Germany, and this second disc includes No. 2, No. 5 "Turkish Style" and the Concerto Symphony. The first collection (98 039 / KKC 5422), which includes Violin Concertos Nos. 1, 3, 4, Adagio (K.261), and Rondo (K.373), received rave reviews in various magazines and newspapers, including the Record Geijutsu Special Mention, so expectations for the second collection are high.Zimmermann's first recording of the complete works was made in 1986 with the Württemberg Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Jörg Felber. This time, Zimmermann performed with the Chamber Orchestra of the Bavarian Radio, conducted by Radoslav Surk. Zimmermann performed Mozart's five violin concertos in our 2005-06 season, which led to this second recording. Zimmermann is known for his elegant and fragrant tone, especially in Mozart. This recording is conducted by Radoslaw Sulk, a Polish-born violinist and concert master of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, and features not only a perfect ensemble but also a particularly beautiful performance of the strings.Zimmermann, who believes that "a string trio is the best ensemble for me," formed the Trio Zimmermann in 2007 with the young viola prodigy Antoine Tamusti and the brilliant cellist Christian Portella. The trio is actively engaged in chamber music, and now that their musical expression has become richer, they are performing with a greater awareness of the ensemble. The viola player for the concerto symphony is of course Antoine Tamusti. Zimmermann, who had been looking for the best ensemble player for many years, was so impressed when he attended one of Tamusti's concerts, and was so enchanted by his tone that after the performance, Zimmermann personally asked him to form a trio. Zimmermann was so impressed by Tamsti's tone that he asked Zimmermann to form a trio with him after the concert.Zimmermann and Tamsti use Stradivarius instruments, and Zimmermann's instrument is the famous 'LadyInchiquin' made in 1711, once owned by Kreisler, and has a beautiful velvety tone.
