A longtime founding member of the Beaux Arts Trio, he has energetically performed as a soloist around the world since its dissolution in 2008, and his duo recital in Japan in 2014 with Sayaka Shoji left the audience quietly moved by his compassionate playing. This video shows Mozart piano concerto concerts at Salle Pleyel in Paris in 2012 and 2014 with the Orchestre de Paris conducted by Paavo Järvi. No. 27 was recorded at a subscription concert of the Orchestre de Paris in October 2012, when he was soon to turn 89 years old. This work, Mozart's last concerto, is a well-known masterpiece of sublime beauty.The performance is gentle, with no hint of Presler's artifice, and it is poetic and tasteful. The encore, Debussy's Moonlight, is also a performance full of delicacy and lyricism that resonates in the depths of the listener's heart. The 23rd piece was performed in a commemorative concert to celebrate his 90th birthday. The most beautiful part of this work is the second movement. It begins with a dignified piano solo, which is succeeded by a melancholy melody of the woodwinds. Pressler's sublime music fully expresses Mozart's unique beauty.
