The Armenian-Venezuelan conductor, Domingo Indoyan & the RLPO! ONYX has previously released a collection of French orchestral works, Symphony No. 6 by Latin Grammy-winning composer Roberto Sierra, a collection of preludes and interludes from Italian operas, and a Japan-only release to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Tokyo M-Plus, Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 6 "Pathetique" (live recording!). This fifth album features Bruckner's masterpiece "Symphony No. 4 (Romantic)," which will celebrate the bicentennial of his birth in 2024. The first draft of the symphony was completed in 1874, when Bruckner was 50 years old, but it was not premiered until 1978-80, when the scherzo was replaced with a new draft and the work underwent a full-scale revision.The title "Romantic", the relatively familiar tune, and the relatively short playing time of Bruckner's works have made this a frequently performed work. Domingo Indoyan, who has been in the limelight since his debut as a violinist at El Sistema, a music education program in Venezuela, will conduct the performance under his passionate baton. Recorded live at the Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool, the excitement and drama of the concert are captured in this disc. Tokyo M-Plus
