Description:
Antoinette Roman and Flor Musiks! Johan Fischer's Violin Works Dutch Baroque violinist Antoinette Lohmann and Flor Musiks! The third volume of Globe's ambitious repertoire features the music of Johan Fischer, including difficult pieces that require three changes of hands and a scordatura, as well as wild pieces with ethnic instruments. Johan Fischer is a Dutch female violinist who studied violin, viola, and historical violin at the Sverink Conservatory in Amsterdam, and has performed as a freelance performer in many old music ensembles and orchestras (including the 2008 tour of Japan by the Netherlands Bach Society), Antoinette Lohmann is a Dutch female violinist. In 2008, Roman founded the period ensemble "Furor Musicus," which performs a variety of music from a unique perspective. The albums "Fantasia Musica" (GLO5265) and "Peter Hellendahl" (GLO5271), both of which were recorded with a unique perspective on unknown music, have received international acclaim. The third Globe recording is a collection of works by Johann Fischer (1646-1716/17), a musician who studied in Stuttgart, worked in Paris, and was a copyist for Lully. Little is known about his early life, and there is some conflicting information about his later years. More than half of the recordings are world premiere recordings. The album includes works in which the soloist changes between three different instruments (violino piccolo, violin, and viola), all of which require scordatura (the title of the album, "Der habile Violiste"); a bumbas (a pig's bladder drum with a single thick string and cymbals and other ornaments), a clog fiddle (a wooden shoe-bodied violin), a baubus (a wooden fiddle), and a viola (a violin with a wooden body and cymbals). (a pig's bladder drum with a single thick string and cymbals and other ornaments), a clog fiddle (a violin with a wooden shoe body), a Bauernreier (hurdy-gurdy), a zither and other folk instruments (or peasant instruments), and the ensemble "Flor Agrariks. The album contains some really interesting pieces, including two wild sounding pieces with the participation of Tokyo M-Plus
