Previously unreleased live recordings of the Bill Evans Trio from Elemental Music! Produced in collaboration with the Bill Evans Estate and Dutch producer and researcher Frank Jochemsen, this is the first time that the Bill Evans Trio has released a previously unreleased live recording from the Bill Evans Estate, a project founded in 2013 by Spanish producer Jordi Solay and Resonance Records co-president Zev Feldman. It is the first Bill Evans discovery project to be released on Elemental Music. This album is a collection of rare live recordings left by the trio of Bill Evans (p), Eddie Gomez (b), and Marty Morrell (ds) in the Netherlands in 1969. Although unofficial pirated copies of the album had been circulating, this is the first legal release of the album after official rights were negotiated with the bereaved families and others.Live at the VARA Studio in Hilversum on March 26, 1969, and at the RAI Amsterdam on November 28, 1969, and the last two songs were recorded on March 25, 1969, arranged by Klaus Ogermann, with the same The trio is joined by the Metropole Orchestra in a beautiful and fantastic performance. Zev Feldman, co-producer of the album, said, "We are very pleased to be working again with Bill Evans' son Evan Evans, the Bill Evans Estate, Eddie Gomez, Marty Morrell, and others to officially present more music as part of Evans' magnificent recorded legacy. The original analog tapes are in excellent condition and can be enjoyed in realistic, high-quality sound.The main liner notes are by renowned Dutch jazz journalist Bert Vuijsje, with an interview with Dutch jazz pianist Jan Huydts, an essay by excavation magnate Zev Feldman, and rare testimonials by Eddie Gomez and Marty Morrell.
