The first solo album by Eva Saladin, a Swiss-Dutch virtuoso who studied with Lucie van Daal and others, exploring the unknown manuscripts of violin sonatas from the late 17th century! The Swiss-Netherlands Baroque violinist Eva Saladin, who studied at the Schola Cantorum Basel (SCB), a music academy in Basel that is known as a center of ancient music education and research, is featured in the "Glossa SCB Series," a collaboration project between Glossa and the Schola Cantorum Basel, Eva Saladin, a Swiss-Dutch baroque violinist, will be featured in the "Glossa SCB Series. Eva Saladin studied at the Amsterdam Conservatory with Case Kermans and Lucie van Dal, at the Schola Cantorum Basel with Laila Scheijek and David Plantier, and at the Ensemble Odyssey and La Chetra Baroque Orchestra Basel, He is one of the next generation of violinists to be featured as artist-in-residence at the Utrecht Festival of Ancient Music in the 2020/21 season.Saladin's first solo album is a selection of eight sonatas from the little-known collection of "Di Martinelli Manuscripts" held at the Catholic University Library of Leuven, Belgium. The manuscripts are part of the di Martinelli family archives, which originated in Genoa, Italy and were moved to the Netherland (present-day Belgium) in the late 17th century, and contain works from a variety of regions and styles, including Flemish-Nederland, southern Germany/Habsburg region, and Italy. The music is composed by the members of the bass ensemble (basso continuo). The members of the bass ensemble (note the interesting and experimental formation of two harpsichords) are all members of the new generation of SCB-trained ancient instrumentalists. Tokyo M-Plus
