The result of careful study of the autograph score. The second collection of J.S. Bach's harpsichord concertos performed by the most virtuoso player of his day, Francesco Corti, born in 1984 in Italy, and Il Pomo d'Oro. The virtuoso keyboardist, born in Italy in 1984, will release the second collection of J.S. Bach's harpsichord concertos with the period instrument orchestra "Il Pomo d'Oro," of which he has been the guest permanent conductor since 2018. The first collection (KKC-6240 / PTC-5186837) includes four concertos (No. 1 in D minor, BWV1052; No. 2 in E major, BWV1053; No. 4 in A major, BWV1055; No. 7 in G minor, BWV1057), which are more effective when played with a full orchestra. The highly anticipated second recording is a chamber recording. In this highly anticipated second collection, the group has recorded No. 3 in D major, BWV 1054, No. 5 in F minor, BWV 1056, No. 6 in F major, BWV 1057, and the Triple Concerto for Flute, Violin and Harpsichord in A minor, BWV 1044, as works that are more effective in a chamber music setting.Corti won the first prize in the harpsichord section of the 15th International Johann Sebastian Bach Competition in Leipzig in 2006. The following year, in 2007, he was approached by Marc Minkowski to become a member of the Musiciens de la Musique du Palais du Louvre and has since been active as a harpsichord, fortepiano, and organist. As a soloist, he has performed all over the world and attracted attention when he appeared at the Chofu International Music Festival in June 2017. This album is the result of Corti's meticulous study of Bach's autographs, and contains works that he concluded "should be performed in a very small ensemble, with the intimacy of chamber music. It is basically an orchestration with one player in each part, and as a result, the strangeness of Bach's textures comes through clearly as sound. Corti's eloquence and eloquence, which are the charm of this recording, are also brilliant, and together with Il Pomo d'Oro, the ensemble is in perfect harmony, allowing us to encounter new charms in these works.
