Limited 4CD box of Frank Zappa's 1973 Halloween show, the first ever recorded live performance of the band's Halloween 1973 show! This limited 4-CD box contains the first-ever recordings of Frank Zappa's annual "Halloween Live" at Chicago's Auditorium Theatre on October 31, 1973, featuring over four hours of complete footage from the two shows. It includes songs from the newly released album "Over-Nite Sensation" and the new album "Apostrophe" scheduled for release in 1974, as well as "Penguin In Bondage," "Dickie's," "Such An Asshole," and "Vickie's," which would later be included on the studio and live albums. This is the second volume of the Halloween series, following "Halloween 77" released by Zappa Family Trust, a label run by Zappa's estate in 2017. Produced by Ahmet Zappa and Zappa's excavation and reissue specialist Joe Travers.Includes liner notes by Travers, Ruth Komanoff Underwood and Ralph Humphrey, who performed at this show, and a 40-page booklet with very rare on- and off-stage photos CDs 1?3 feature footage from two shows, and CD4 features previously unreleased rehearsals; 2019 master transferred by Joe Travers to 96K/24bit from master recorded on 1/2" 4-track analog tape and remixed by Craig Parker Adams.
