Christophe Croiset, Raff's anniversary album! The complete cello works of Joachim Ruff, whose works have been reappraised in recent years! Born in 1993, Christophe Croiset is an internationally acclaimed Swiss cellist who made his Carnegie Hall debut in New York at the age of 17. He has won first prizes in numerous competitions in the United States, China, Italy, and Switzerland, including the Brahms International Competition in Austria and the Berlin International Music Competition in Germany, and was also awarded the Swiss Ambassadors Award in 2017. The beautiful and lyrical works of Swiss composer Joachim Raff (1822-1882) were performed and enjoyed throughout Europe during his lifetime, but today they are still rarely performed, although there is a movement to re-evaluate them. However, among Raff's chamber music works, those composed for cello deserve special attention.The year 2022 marks the 200th anniversary of Joachim Ruff's birth and the 140th anniversary of his death. Christophe Croiset, accompanied by Oksana Shevchenko, winner of the first prize at the 2010 Scottish International Piano Competition, gives a performance befitting the anniversary year. Tokyo M-Plus
